EDUC 2301: Introduction to Special Populations
Responsibilities:
Prepare lessons and develop curriculum, teach units, grade work and advise students in EDUC classes
Special Assignments:
Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) Program Lead Faculty--establish, develop and maintain educational partnerships with ISDs, private schools, and 4-year institutions, check and review EDUC/AAT Adjunct syllabi, serve as mentor/contact for adjuncts, interview and hire adjunct faculty, review and adopt textbooks for all EDUC and TECA classes, observe adjuncts’ instruction, maintain state reporting requirements, conduct and organize adjunct professional development workshops, visit high schools and present AAT degree, create and maintain community group for EDUC faculty on D2L, develop, create and collaborate on SLO and PLO assessments, monitor reports on Compliance Assist
AAT Curriculum Team Chair--lead and schedule meetings, prepare and type minutes, introduce goals for SLO and PLO assessments, provide vision of 21st century CC Teacher Prep programs, keep abreast of new laws, initiatives, educational policy for all constituencies
